An important thing to note is that NTSC DV is 720×480. Digital video (DV)
has six lines less than the normal picture signal. As a result, you might see some black
bars when DV is broadcast at the top or bottom of the screen. You can fix the prob-
lem by “blowing up” the picture in an image processor that will fill the screen. In the
case of Xpress Pro and Free DV, you can remedy it by using an effect to expand the
picture size.
